Faldo's Tips - Cornelia

Pit 1 - Taurus Mountains

Make sure that your first kick-off stays smooth and centered, to avoid the uncultivated area on either side of this pit. Calculate your distance measurement correctly to reach the green surrounded by difficulties rather than a short hole.

Pit 2 - Corridor

As the name suggests, in this long, narrow and straight hole, the most important advice we can give you is that your ball is straight and in the middle. Determine the area where you will drop your ball and your direction to avoid the deep sand obstacle around the green.

Pit 3 - Jaws

It is a short but deceptive uphill par 3 pit. The green stick made in the high area makes your choice very important. If your ball is short to the wavy green, Jaws below the green may swallow it.

Pit 4 - Fox Nest

Although it may seem difficult and narrow from the starting point, it has a wider area than you think. But be careful not to slide your shot to the right excessively, as your fairway curving sharply to the right may cause your shot to slide into the grassless area and your next shot will be blocked by tall trees.

Pit 5 - Wall

Greeni is a par 5 (five-shot) pit of an average length located on the lake shore. Although it requires a curved starting shot from right to left, a shot to the extreme left may cause the fairway to go below the level of the fairway or into the stunted bushes. Your shot on the higher part of the fairway will allow you to take the second shot on the green and thus overcome the wall.

Pit 6 - Plateau

It is a really difficult par 3 with strong wind passages, placed on a high plateau and surrounded by steep slopes.

Pit 7 - Faldo's Choice

Faldo's choice is simple. If you wish, take a safe hit to the left to the high zone or try to reach the green in one shot. Either way, the green is inclined towards the 3 bunkera (sand barrier) on the right. The decision you make in this pit is important in terms of control and precision in every way.

Pit 8 - Gemini

You need to take your starting kick from a narrow line between the twin pine trees on the right side of the track and the twin bunkers on the left side, on the slope of the lake. If you can avoid these twins placed right and left, this hole rewards you with a short hit on the difficult green it has. A more guaranteed and short hit on the fairway will require you to take a longer shot that must be overcome over the cave-style bunker made next to the strike.

Pit 9 - Towards Home

It's time to go home with a good drive avoiding the 4 bunkers placed on the fairway. The shot to the right of the fairway allows you to see more clearly the greeni and the temple-like clubhouse surrounded by bunkers and mounds.

Pit 10 - Gloomy

The ideal starting shot is a slightly left to right drive shot. But be careful not to overdo it. Because your shot can fall on the grassless area bent from left to right. Another feature you should pay attention to is that it has a narrow green surrounded by a large pine tree.

Pit 11 - Long

As the name suggests, it is a truly elongated par 5 pit, even for long hits. Try to make your starting shot curved so that the corner turns. In this way, you have the opportunity to plan more clearly about your next shot. Make sure to stay away from the lake, deep pits and hillocks on the right with your second hit to get closer to the flag. You will need to make a lot of effort to make a par in this pit.

Pit 12 - Landing

Depending on the direction of the wind, you will need to decide whether your strike will be long or short beyond the slope. Make a good selection of clubs and play to the center of the greece.

Pit 13 - Deception / Illusion

To see the green more clearly, shoot to the left. The shooting to the extreme right will cause the fairway bunkers to affect your game and thus you will be deceived by the trick of the pit. Take your distance measurement thoroughly.

Pit 14 - Swing

In this long and downhill par 3 pit, you have to make your starting stroke in a left-to-right arc. It will be inevitable that your hit that cannot find the green will find the grassless area around the green.

Pit 15 - Valley

The valley, which looks quite wide, offers you the opportunity to take a long driver's shot. However, the grassless area you will have to overcome, with its deep fairway bunkers, wavy fairway and narrow green structure, makes you realize that the pit is not as easy as it seems.

Pit 16 - Pond

This par 5 pit, which has an average length, requires you to hit your starting shot in a curved right to left. You can enter the green in two hits, avoiding the 3 fairway bunkers on the right, but keep in mind that the greenhouse is surrounded by deep bunkers, the pond on the left and the large lake in the back.

Pit 17 - Front to Back

This par 4 may be a short hole but requires a rigorous skill test. The greene of this pit, which is narrow and sloping from front to back
